Inventory Movement

One stock movement written by the Inventory app: an adjustment line, a receipt, a transfer leg or a stocktake variance.

The Inventory Movement business object represents one change to the quantity of an inventory level: an adjustment line, a receipt against a purchase order, one leg of a transfer, or a stocktake variance. It is the ledger the Inventory app writes every time stock moves.

Description

Use the Inventory Movement object to see why a quantity changed, when, by whom and from which document. Each movement references the inventory level it moved, the variant and location, carries the signed quantity and the unit cost at the time, and links back to its source document. Movements are written by the Inventory app; they are not meant to be edited by hand.
